From the world of COBI comes one of the most popular sets we have produced. The Sd.Kfz251/9 Ausf.C Stummel half-track armoured transporter. Utilising high quality prints not only gives the model incredible detail it is also more durable than stickers the vehicle is equipped with movable wheels with real tyres. The tracks consist of realistic block cells and works and behaves like a real one as you move the vehicle. The vehicle has opening rear double doors, machine gun and accessories the whole set is complemented by two figures depicting a German officer and an armoured grenadier. Sd.Kfz.251 is the basic semi-tracked armored transporter of the German army during World War II. Its production lasted from 1939 to 1945. Other combat vehicles were also built on its basis. It was produced in four production models, from A to D, and 23 basic and many field versions, of which the standard and largest was the armoured transporter Sd.Kfz.251/1. The sd.kfz.251 transporter project was based on the modified chassis of Sd.Kfz.11. The armoured hull was produced from welded armoured plates and consisted of two large parts connected by screws. Part of the front ended up being a driver. It protected the driver, commander and engine. The combat compartment opened from above was to accommodate 10 soldiers. The rear had opened doors allowed access to the interior. Sd.Kfz.251/9 Ausf.C Stummel was created as a result of the growing demand for a fire-fighting infantry vehicle. This version is equipped with 7.5 cm StuK 37 L/24 75 mm short-barrel cannons from the dismantling of panzer IV long-barrelled cannons.
